Communications with participants is a key to success!

 

The best time to start communicating greening efforts is the first day of event planning.

 

Communication Groups could include:

 

1. Vendors

2. Exhibitors

3. Artists/Performers/Crew

4. Attendees

5. Grounds Crew

6. Other

 

Methods to reach them may include:

 

1. Information published on the event and venue websites specific to each communication group,

2. A mailing list, forum, or mail group (Yahoo, Google) for each Communication Group,

3. A web based registration page that adds them to the correct Communication Group,

4. Twitter account for attendees,

5. Facebook page for attendees,

6. Other.

 

Less Frequently Used Outreach Mediums

 

Go to where the attendees are:

1. Post to Performers' Listservs or Forums,

2. Post to Performers' Social Media Pages and Website,

3. Post to the Venue's Social Media Pages and Website,

4. Post to Related Blogs

5. Prepare Information to be Included at Time of Ticket Purchase.

6. Add to Performer and Venue Promotional Materials such as Flyers, Posters and Handbills

7. Ask Performers and Venue to Send Information to Fan Base,

8. Ask Performers to Make Stage Announcements Between Sets and at the End of the Event.
